Web, Development, and User Experience design are especially exciting because they offer opportunities to synthesize diverse design forms, tools, and strategies from my toolkit. Motion design, typography, illustration, and even sound design can all be deployed and combined to solve particular problems, create engaging experiences—or simply to explore ideas.

Through a multifaceted design approach, I prioritize accessibility, creativity, and focus on creating mindful, meaningful, and memorable interactions rather than chasing purely frictionless design. Where's the fun in that?

My professional transition from musician to designer can be traced to the humble gig poster. In the 2010s I ended up producing hundreds of them, mostly in the context of the Montreal music scene, and the show poster is an art form that is still near and dear to my heart. From there I graduated to editorial illustrations, product design, hand drawn logos, training manuals, movie posters, comics, greeting cards, and about any other reason someone could want a drawing that you could imagine.

I'm Adam, an artist and designer in Toronto's west end. I've spent over a decade as an illustrator and graphic designer, and nearly as long in animation as a 2D background artist, layout supervisor, and motion designer.

Lately I've been bringing that background to UX and web design, building interfaces that pair thoughtfulness with play and use motion with purpose, so every interaction feels considered and a little bit delightful.

In a past life, I was a pretty busy Montreal-based musician touring internationally in struggling indie rock bands, and I still release and perform ambient electronic music under the moniker Sparkling Water.
